Running a dance scene can be difficult, but it is worth it for the friendship and shared love for the art! BAL STL currently does not charge for it's beginner lessons! We ensure that our guest instructors and bands are properly compensation by charging for our higher level classes and social events.
We provided scholarships to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy our events and rely on donations from the community to ensure that we can continue to provide affordable opportunities to dance Balboa.

Your donation will go towards renting the beautiful studio we operate out of, paying the salary for guest instructors and band members, and all of the administrative costs that are needed to run this pony show!
Meet the organizer
Hi! My name is Ali. I'm the primary organizer for BAL STL. I teach most of the beginner classes, create the advertisements and announcements, manage our social media accounts, secure our studio, work with other local dancers to create lessons for guest instructors, and more!

I have been dancing for over 10 years (mostly different kinds of swing dance). In early 2019 I was introduced to balboa by an old college friend and since then I have been hooked! The pandemic hit the St. Louis balboa community hard but we have been working hard to build it back! The community has really come together to rebuild after 2 years of not meeting at all.

I'm honored to be able to be a part of this wonderful community and am excited to be able to continue to bring you more of my favorite dance!
